The officer determined that the male, Charles Kempthorne, 32 of Redwood City had been driving and was under the influence. Kempthorne was placed under arrest and then airlifted to Sutter Roseville with lacerations on his head. The female, 36 year old Christina Beltran of Sacarmanto and her child were transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The child, who had beenĀ approriately secured in the vehicle had no injuries, Beltran experienced minor soreness.
Upon further investigation it was also determined Beltran was in possession of a suspected controlled substance leading to her arrest. An additional charge was added to both Beltran and Kempthorne
