Weekend Grass Valley Spot Fire Under Investigation

A small vegetation fire in Grass Valley over the weekend is under investigation. Grass Valley Fire, Nevada County Consolidated, and Cal-Fire units responded near Maltman Drive and Joerschke Drive around 12:30pm Saturday. The fire was burning in an area between a parking lot and a commercial building. According to a release by Grass Valley Fire Officials, the fire was held to a 20-by-30-foot area, but caused major damage to a vehicle parked near by. There was no damage to a near-by building and no injuries reported.
