Welfare Checks on Missing People Lead to Unfortunate Discoveries

Two separate incidents of people looking for missing friends or family led to discoveries of deceased bodies. Nevada County Sheriff’s are investigating a dead body found on the San Juan Ridge over the weekend.

The two men had flown into the Truckee airport and then stayed at the home. The Coroner and Truckee Police are trying to determine the exact cause of death. Fevinger says there is no sign of foul play. The names of the victims have not been released.
