West Drops Out of District One Supervisors Race

The election isn’t until next year, but there’s been a shakeup in the race for Nevada County Supervisor in District 1. Nate Beason has decided not to seek re-election, and now Cheri West, who announced her candidacy in September, has dropped out. That currently leaves former Congressional candidate Heidi Hall as the only one running, but other candidates are sure to emerge. District 1 includes Nevada City and the unincorporated areas of Banner Mountain, Cascade Shores, Deer Creek, and the Highway 174 corridor.
