Westbound 80- One lane opened East of Colfax

CHP has re-opened one of the westbound lanes of I 80, and the second lane is scheduled to be opened around 4:30.  Motorists can expect delays  for a while longer. Traffic is being escorted by CHP. Firefighters remain on scene to mop up the 0.5-acre fire on the roadside.

The incident began when a big rig transporting hay caught on fire on westbound I80, approximately one mile east of Colfax just after 11:30 AM.
