Weston Says Funding Trip To State Capitol Helpful

Nevada County Supervisor Hank Weston says his visit to the state capitol was productive, regarding funding requests for two local projects. Weston says he wasn’t able to get the requests on an Assembly budget subcommittee’s agenda, but he spoke during the public comment period. Weston also says the cost of the project has dropped by 110-thousand dollars. A decision from the subcommitee is expected in about a month. The funding would also need to be approved by the full Assembly and State Senate and then sent to the governor’s desk.
