Weston’s Fourth District represents Penn Valley, Lake Wildwood, and North San Juan. He says his list includes beautifying the McCourtney Road Transfer Station, completion of a waste pipeline from Penn Valley to Lake Wildwood, a tax increase to keep Penn Valley’s Western Gateway Park open, widening of the road in Penn Valley, and making sure North San Juan has adequate fire protection. The 70 year-old Weston made his official announcement Saturday at a Nevada County Farm Bureau dinner. He’ll be challenged in June of next year by attorney Fran Cole, who declared her candidacy for the seat on the Board of Supervisors in August.
