What Teachers Get Highest Pay In Nevada County?

Salaries continued to rise this year for most teachers in California, including in Nevada County. The biggest increase here was in the Nevada Joint Union High School District, also our largest district, where the overall average pay improved by almost $5,000, to $72,156. That’s the second-highest average. The highest salary average is found in the county’s third-largest district, the Pleasant Ridge Union Elementary K-8 District, in the south county, where it’s now $74,799, an increase of around $1650. The third-highest average salary is at the Union Hill K-8 School District, at $71, 645, an increase of about $1500. Between 2009 and 2013, during recession-driven government cutbacks, average inflation-adjusted teacher pay fell by around 5%. But it started rebounding in 2014 and today is 2% higher than 2009.
