Remember a few months ago, I wrote about how little lights were causing me such pain? The “Check Engine Light” was glowing brightly on my dashboard, turned out I needed a new catalytic converter (to the tune of $1000) in order to pass my smog test. After much thought and gnashing of teeth, my wife and I decided we’d do it. Then drive the car until the doors fell off.
The good news, the doors are still on the car. The bad news, the head cracked.
Rather than spending another $2000, we decided to buy a new car.
Now I am the proud owner of 3 cars, 2 running. I am also the proud owner of a $1000 catalytic converter that is all of 4 months old.
Of course, the real exciting part was the timing. As you are aware we had a little change of personel here at KNCO. All that came down on the same day that I dropped my car off because it was overheating on my drive to work.
What a wild week it has been . . . . . . .
