It’s not just going to watch a movie, the Wild and Scenic Film Festival is also about inspiring people to take action to make changes to make the world better. Out of 450 film submissions, 140 films were chosen for this year’s 14th annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival. The Festival is a major fundraiser for SYRCL, the South Yuba River Citizen’s leage, which has about 3,500 active members committed to protecting the Yuba River.
The Big kickoff for the festival was last night with 3-d films shown at the Del Oro theater. SYRCL Executive Director Caleb Dardick says the showing of films continues through the weekend at 11 different venues in Grass Valley and Nevada City.
