The 20th annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival has provided a preview of what to expect for its five-day run in January, with in-person viewing again available. Festival producer, Eric Dunn, says despite the pandemic’s impacts the number of submissions have not really faltered, with 330 to 340 sent in. And a little over 100 environmental documentaries and adventure films have been selected. That includes eight world premieres. One of the marquee films is called “My Garden of a Thousand Bees”…

But no walkup attendees will be admitted, as a COVID precaution. You must reserve specific film sessions and venues in advance. And masks and vaccinations are mandatory. Virtual viewing is also being offered again. And Dunn says the theme, to mark this landmark anniversary, is “current of hope”…

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival will be happening January 13th through the 17th at venues in Grass Valley and Nevada City.
