Wildfire Season In Nevada-Yuba-Placer One of Worst

As expected, the wildfire season was much busier this year, compared to last year. The Nevada-Yuba-Placer CalFire unit put out 75 more fires, compared to last year, or 419, according to Public Information Officer Daniel Berlant…..

Meanwhile, total acreage shot up to around 45-hundred, with around 23-hundred atributed to the Lowell Fire. Berlant says that compares to just 12-hundred acres last year….

The five-year average for the Nevada-Yuba-Placer unit has been around 19-hundred acres.
