Wildland Fire Hwy 20 Near Rex Reservoir Rd

Another wildland fire to report in Nevada County, but the good news is that forward progress was stopped at 7-10 acres of brush and timber, according to Cal Fire Spokesperson Amy Head. The blaze, which began in the area of Highway 20 and Rex Reservoir Road, not far from the fairgrounds, began during the noon hour today. It did initially threaten some homes, with some brief mandatory and advisory evacuation orders issued for residents in the area of Butler, Gibson, and Glenn Meadows Roads.
