Wildlife Crossing Bill To Reduce Collisions

California drivers collided with animals more than 22-hundred times in 2019, with three people losing their lives. A new Congressional bill, which is part of the 303-billion dollar Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act, allocates 350-million dollars to build more wildlife crossings around the country. The bill sailed through the U-S Senate and is now in the House. Data from the Federal Highway Administration show such crashes result in more than eight-billion dollars in damages each year.
