The Wild and Scenic Film Festival, presented by the South Yuba River Citizens League will expand this year in celebration of SYRCL’s 30th anniversary. Festival Director Samantha Heinrichs says they will show 120 films to explore how individuals and communities across the globe are taking action and being part of the solution on issues ranging from energy, food systems, biodiversity, climate change and the protection and restoration of wild lands and wild waters. Presented in 9+ venues for films and workshops, there is a children’s Saturday morning “cartoons” program, art shows, wine tastings, a Gala Event, and awards ceremony. Festival events will also be going on in Grass Valley as well as the usual venues in Nevada City.
