Wise Fire Contained to Three Acres Thursday Morning

A vegetation fire that broke out south of Auburn Thursday morning raised some concern as the the smoke became visible around 9:30 AM. CALFIRE Captain Dave Bookout says it was located north of Highway 80.

Captain Bookout says multiple units responded and made quick work of the fire limiting its spread.

The fire was contained to 3 acres in just over two hours. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
