Woman Arrested After Giving False Name and Age

A female suspect has been arrested after she could not accurately provide her age, even after telling the police officer her birthdate. Grass Valley Police Lieutenant Steve Johnson says that the incident began late Thursday when a Ford Bronco driving in the same direction of the officer swerved and cut off the police vehicle causing the officer to break hard to avoid a collision.*

The officer made contact with the woman who stated she did not have her driver’s license, but did provided a name and birthdate.*

The driver eventually admitted to be 44 year-old Cynthia Tapia of Nevada City. Then the offcier made additional discoveries.*

Tapia was taken into custody on a variety of charges including displaying false registration, driving on a suspended license, and providing falsie ID of a real person. The incident remains under investigation.
