Woman Arrested After Grass Valley Stabbing

A Grass Valley woman is charged with attempted murder, after a stabbing incident over the weekend. Police Captain Steve Johnson says the victim, described as a man in his 50’s, was found bleeding from several wounds, Saturday afternoon, at a bus station on Sutton Way. He says the suspect, 48-year-old Kathy Hoyt, and the victim, had been living in a homeless camp in a nearby wooded area where it’s believed the stabbing occurred…

The victim’s name is not being released at this time. Johnson says he is recovering from his wounds after having surgery…

Johnson also says Hoyt was under the influence of alcohol and has a minor criminal history, including drinking from an open container of alcohol in public.
