Grass Valley Police arrested a suspect for attempting to break into her mother’s house. Sgt. Jason perry says officers were dispatched to the home on So. Church Street Thursday morning and located 29 year old Shelby Reinhardt who was very agitated and angry upon the initial contact by the officer.
Backup officers arrived and they were able to place Reinhardt in handcuffs. While on the ground she attempted to hurt herself by banging her head against the sidewalk. Officers also noticed Reinhardt had cut a finger while attempting to get through a broken window at the house. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and medical evaluation and released by mental heath for booking. Reinhardt faces charges of second degree burglary and grant theft, battery on a police officer and medical personnel, and resisting arrest.
