Most people might say that taking your pet to the veterinarian when they are sick or injured is a good thing. However, everyone is likely to agree that stealing credit cards to pay the bill isn’t the right way to go about it. A woman in Grass valley behind bars after doing just that- more than once. Grass Valley Police Lt. Alex Gammelagard says that officers were called to a veterinary clinic in the Brunswick Basin Wednesday evening.
The woman identified as 51 year old Tina Thompson, apparently had done this more than once.
It appears because her pet had been in the clinic before, she was still using the victims identity, but this time she wasn’t attempting to use the credit card. She was going to pay for services with a check from her mother.
Employees at the business recognized the woman from the prior incidents and contacted the police department.
Tina Thompson was arrested on forgery charges, burglary, receiving stolen property, petty theft, and using a credit card with out permission.
