Woman Arrested In South County Burglary

Nevada County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the south county to a report of a burglary in progress on Tuesday  night.

Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says deputies were told that a woman who appeared to be inebriated  had picked a lock.

The homeowner had confronted the woman and asked why she was there, she replied she was looking for some bolt cutters.

When Deputies arrived the victim told them the women had already gone over to his uncles house next door.

The woman  was identified as 38 year old Shelene Mulford, and deputies took her into custody for second degree burglary and violation of her probation for being intoxicated. Bail was set at 50-thousand dollars.
