Woman Arrested on Alleged DV Charges

A Rough and Ready woman was jailed after choking her boyfriend because he would not give back her cell phone. Nevada County Sheriff Captain Jeff Pettit says deputies responded to a home on the Rough and Ready Highway Sunday morning. The Captain says 21 year old Elle Miller was in an altercation with her boyfriend, when she got upset and tried to choke him. The Captain says Miller cut her hand on a necklace the victim was wearing.

Miller was taken in custody on suspicion of domestic violence. Neither of the parties involved require any further medical treatment.
