Woman Found After Abandoning Her Car

Grass Valley Police feared the worst when they found a Sonoma County woman’s car abandoned. Sergeant Joe Matteoni says a call from employees said the vehicle was found in the I-HOP parking lot around 8 o’clock last night . The door on the driver’s side was open and the woman’s personal items were inside the car. Officers began a search of the businesses in the area and the woods surrounding the PG&E yard on Taylorville Road. After family members were contacted, the CHP issued a silver alert for the for the missing 68 year-old woman.

Matteoni says the woman was located this morning. Police have not been able to determine why the woman left her car or where she spent the night. The woman was taken to Sierra Nevada Hospital for a medical checkup.
