It was an unusual crash, but a serious one, handled by the Highway Patrol in Lake Wildwood. Officer Tim Sheehan says a local couple crashed their golf cart, with the woman suffering serious injuries…
The couple, only identified with the last name of Hutton in the initial report, were in the cart at the intersection of Sun Forest Drive and Fox Tail Drive around 7 o’clock last (Tuesday) evening when it happened. Sheehan says those crashes happen once in awhile, and turn out to be more serious than you might think…
The woman, who is 46 years old, was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. The 51 year-old driver declined medical transport.

Was this one of the hundreds of non-safety compliant carts that ply Lake Wildwood and cross Pleasant Valley Road?
Lake Wildwood encourages operation of golf carts in violation of California DMV standards but banishes registered motorcycles that are DMV compliant.
There will be costs for this nonsense.
