Woman Tossed from Golf Cart

One woman suffered serious injury after trying to miss a deer in a golf cart. CHP and fire fighters were called to Lake Shore North in Lake of the Pines Saturday evening. A 44 year old woman from Auburn was driving a golf cart when she saw a deer standing next to the road. Officer Tassone says according to her statement the deer looked like it was going to run into the road. The driver made a sharp turn and her 54 year old woman passenger fell out hitting her head.

The passenger was flown to Sutter Roseville Hospital in serious condition. The driver and two children in the back of the cart were wearing their set belts and were not injured.
