Women of Worth Awarded “Pay It Forward” Check

A check for $1,144.39  was presented to Women of worth yesterday by a representative of Pay it Forward Processing. Businesses that sign up with Pay it Forward for their credit card transactions designate a portion of their processing fee to a non-profit of their choice, and yesterday Pay it Forward Account Manager Mick Collins presented the check to Women of Worth Executive Director Sandy Schmidt.

Collins says two local businesses designated Women of worth as their non profit to receive the funds, Grass Valley Periodontics on Brunswick Rd. and a new restaurant in Nevada City Los Mineros.

That means Women of worth will be receiving more checks in the future. As for this check Schmidt says she already knows where it will go.
