For the 18th straight year, the international organization known as World Exchange is arranging to place a group of overseas high school students, usually from France, to visit Nevada County. The students arrive in August each year. This year they begin their stay on Sunday, August 2nd, then return to Paris on August 20th. Turner says students can also travel anywhere with the family. Other than a day trip planned for Squaw Valley and an end-of-trip gathering, she says the students will not be socializing together during their stay, to maximize their experience with American culture. They also speak at least basic English. If you’re interested in being a host family, Turner says she can be contacted at 210-6900. You can also call Steve Baker at 916-205-8421.
