Saturday (June 30th) is Young Eagles flight day at the Nevada County Airport. Its day day kids from age 8 to 17 take to the air for a free flight. The non-profit young Eagles program has given almost 1.6 million young people the expereince of flight. The flights are flown by licensed and expereinced volunteer pilots whose lives have been enhanced by aviation like piolet Paul Bevelhymer.
All interested persons should go to th Nevada county Airport Saturday morning June 30th, registration and flights will run from 9 am until noon. Kids must have a parent or legal guardian with them to register. There will be signs to direct you when you get to the airport.
