The trial of the two men accused of murdering Nevada County veteran Stan Norman two years ago this month was scheduled to finally begin Tuesday, after two prior delays, due to coronavirus restrictions. But Assistant District Attorney Chris Walsh says no jury trials will be going forward at least through the end of May…
The restrictions were approved by the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court and the State Judicial Council, in consultation with public health officials. Walsh says all jobs in the D-A’s Office are considered essential, but have changed significantly, with many working on a laptop at home…
Most other criminal proceedings have also been suspended until at least early June. Courthouses also remain closed to the public for most other services, some of which can be accessed online
